Vicki Chrisman challenged the Crafty Secrets design team members to come up with a project using the Crafty Secrets Artsy Alphabet Clear Stamp Set.
I want to apologize for my photos today...the weather was very dreary and it took me all day to put this together. When I went to photograph the page, I had to place it in a scrapbook protective sheet to get it to stand up, so there are lots of spots of glare and I didn't even use a flash. I've been wanting to start working on scrapbook pages for quite a while so figured this was a good opportunity. The word Cousins is stamped with the Artsy Alphabet set and what took me to so long to do ths is the picture underneath it. I printed it on fabric and after many tries, I finally came out with one I liked. I zigzag stitched the top to the picture and then frayed the edges of the fabric. On the topper, I also stamped a flourish from Crafty Secrets Flourishes Clear Stamp Set over the word Cousins with a pale pink ink and then added a photo corner from the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Mini SweetChip Frames & More which I dabbed with my pink ink pad.
You can click on these pictures to see a close up. My photos in real life are actually very clear, so it must be the plastic over it that really messes them up.
This is the top right of the page showing me and my cousins with our dolls. I used theCrafty Secrets Frame It Clear Stamp Set for the journaling circle. I stamped the lines and then the border on the top. I cut it out using a Nestabilities circle die. The butterfly underneath the journaling circle is from the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Little Doll Image and Journal Notes booklet. The next picture shows a little fairy which is also from that same sheet the butterfly is on.
This photo came out the best of all of them. The picture of the doll in the flowers came from an old fairy tale book. The three pictures of me and my cousins are mounted on an old piece of wallpaper.
Again, I want to apologize for my photos today. Please visit the blogs below to see what rest of the team came up with for the challenge. It's always fun to see the different creative visions everyone has.
