We had to have our sweet kitty put to sleep last Thursday. Sebastian lived a long and happy life with us and he loved our son, Mark. Long after Mark and Elizabeth were married, whenever they came over, Sebastian would go straight for Mark. Those two were very attached and neither ever forgot it.
This picture was taken about 5 years ago. He loved to *help* me whatever I was doing. Here I was working on a snail's trail quilt for a class I was taking, but he was bound and determined he was going to help me get it finished.
Sebastian was the father image for all the kitties in the household. There wasn't a one he didn't like and he always welcomed a new one. He had the most beautiful blue eyes and the softest fur. He was a big guy, not fat, just big. At one time he weighed about 20 pounds.
We and the vet thinks he must have had a stroke on Monday or Tuesday. He all of a sudden had a terrible time getting around and wanted to hide in the closet. His back legs wanted to work but he just couldn't control them. It was so sad to see him go from such a robust guy to this helpless kitty. He was also diagnosed earlier in the year with kidney failure but his *plumbing* was working fine throughout this. He will certainly be missed by Larry and I and the rest of the kitties but most of all, by Mark.
