Another Fairy

I am having a hard time breaking away from this new Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps Fairyland set.  I told you I LOVE it!!  Here is the little sweetie sitting on a nest this time.  I stamped the images on a confetti kraft cardstock with VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink.  I colored her and the nest with my Copics and then used the Nestabilities pinking circle die to cut her and another layer out.  The card base is also the confetti kraft (no idea where this is from, sorry) and I stamped the lily of valley on the sides and the little snail on it.  I also stamped those same images on white cardstock and cut out the little flowers and the snail and mounted them on the base card images.  I stamped the sentiment from the Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps Large Card Senitments on a piece of the cardstock and mounted it on the same paper I used for the fairy background, added a Dew Drop, some glitter on her wings and glossy accents on the eggs in the nest.  And it's done!  Those little flowers were a bear to cut out but I like them!

I spent my Saturday reading a book.  I haven't read in a while and it was a cold blustery day, so perfect for curling up with a quilt, hot cocoa and a good book.  I read another yesterday, so need to get back to my stamping today!!!

Take Flight

This sweet little fairy is getting ready to take flight on her friend, Mr. Bird.  These images are both from the new Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps Fairyland set.  I stamped the fairy with my VersaFine Vintage Sepia and colored with Copics.  I masked her and then stamped and colored the bird.  I used an old SU stamp around the perimeter of the image and sponged it with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The flower is made with a Sizzix die from pages of an old book.  The center of the flower is an old button that reminds me of a raspberry.  I cut the shank off and sanded it down.  The sentiment came from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps Bird Lovers set.  I thought it went well with the fairy and her friend.  The background paper is from one of those paper pads from Michael's.  The fairy has nicely glittered wings. 

I went over to my cousin's today and went through all kinds of old family memorabilia...some good, some junk.  The thermometer in the car said -7 degrees going over and then it warmed up to 7 degrees for the trip home.  She showed me a picture she took of her car thermometer last night that said -14.  She emailed it to her daughter in Arizona.  It was cold!!!!  Brrrrr!!!!

How Sweet

This is another sweet image from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamp'snew Fairyland set.  Later in the post, I will show you a close-up of this little sweetie.  She is stamped in VersaFine Vintage Sepia and colored with my Copics.  Extra fine glitter is added to her little wings.  I stamped Imagine on after this was colored.  There are several individual words that could be used, but she looks like she's imagining with her little hand against her face.  I used my Nestabilities to cut her out and left the die on to use as a mask to color the background.  I used a piece of paper from the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Classic Paper Pad also cut with my Nestailities to mount her on.  This was then mounted on the base card with dimensionals.  I used my largest scalloped circle die to cut the card.  I thought this image looked so cute on a smaller circular card.  I tied a piece of silver cord over the fold.

In the close-up, you'll notice the little fairy has a pearl ankle bracelet on and notice the sweet little toes.  The attention to detail is wonderful on this set.  Isn't she the cutest little fairy? 

Up a Tree!

Another sneak peek into the Fairyland!  Did I tell you how much I LOVE this set?  There are just so many cute images in this large set by Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps.  I used another sheet of music from my book and it seemed to fit perfectly with the theme.  I used the whole piece of music because the words to it are so cute also, so this made for a little larger card.  I stamped the fairy and the little birds on the branch with my VersaFine Sepia Brown and colored with my Copics.  The little squirrel and the sign he is holding was stamped and colored the same way.  I'm getting use to all this *fussy cutting* and thinks it looks neat.  I sprayed my piece of music with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Frost and also the Tim Holtz Grungeboard pieces.  The swirls look a lot darker than the paper because they were grey to start out with.  A lot of glimmer to this card.  I added fine glitter to the fairies wings for more bling.  I had a nice piece of organdy ribbon that matched perfectly, so used Fabri-Tac to hold the ribbon down and then mounted the branch with dimensionals on it.

More Peeks

I promised more sneak peeks today.  This  is from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps new Fairyland set which is available now.  I absolutely LOVE this set!  There are so many cute images in this large set.  I used the mushroom, sitting fairy and sign post on this card.  I did a lot of masking and cutting, but I enjoyed it.  Everything on this card is cut out and mounted on dimensionals except for piece of sheet music that I tore out of a children's book of music.  I thought the title went great with the rest of the card.  The background paper is from Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Classic Paper Pad.  It is all muted pinks and greens, so doesn't distract from the mushroom forest.  The ribbon came from a ribbon share that TexasJodyLynn did quite some time ago but I love it.  I have it in several colors. 

The piece of music I tore around the edge and then distressed it with Rangers Milled Lavendar Distress Ink.  I wadded it up and then smoothed it out and went over the whole sheet with the milled lavendar.  Where there are creases from the wadding and smoothing, the ink went on darker and that gave it a nice touch. 

Here is a closeup and you can see the tops of the mushrooms and the little fairies wings are all sprinkled with fine glitter.  Aren't they the sweetest images?  I even love the mushrooms!!

More Flowers!

Another image using the upcoming Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps Bouquet of Joy set.  I love the coloring and making the image come to life!  I stamped the image in VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink and got out my Copics.  The background paper and the distressed piece at the side are all from the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Earthy Paper Pad.  I distressed the edges of the background with Rangers Vintage Photo Distress Ink and used my scissors to distress the edge of the other piece and then used my Pfaff to sew it on.  I'm going to be doing a quilt block swap and need to remember to change out my needle!  I hope I can still remember how to sew on fabric! :)

The sentiment is also stamped with the VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink and mounted on dimensionals for some lift.  I brougt out my jar of brown buttons, dumped them all out and sorted until I found the perfect one!  I love sifting through buttons and have all of mine separated by color in all sorts and shapes of glass jars.  I have to keep them in my closet though since the kitties also like buttons!! :)

I went over all the flowers with my Copics Glitter Pens.  They add such a sweet hint of sparkle. 

I took another picture at an angle so you could see the sparkle these pens add.  I colored the lily of the valley in my Inkessentials White Opaque Pen from Ranger.  I love lily of the valley and their fragrance.  They bring back childhood memories of picking bouquets of them for my mother.

A Sneak Peek

This is a sneak peek of a new Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps called Bouquet of Thanks that will be coming out after CHA later this month!  The little girl is so sweet holding her huge bouquet of flowers.  This was stamped using VersaFine Black ink and colored with my trusty Copic markers.  I love those things!!  The background paper is from the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Earthy Paper Pad and I colored in the leaves, berries and dragonfly with my Copics.  The butterfly was on the reverse side of this background sheet.  I cut it out and mounted the center on a dimensional and bent the wings up a little bit to look as those she's on the move.  I added fine glitter to the flowers, dragonfly's wings and the berries.  What a fun image to color!!

 

Here is a second card I made with Bouquet of Thanks.  I stamped this one with VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink and cut the image out with my Labels 1 from Nestabilities.  I found it was a hard die to work with but it turned out pretty.  The background paper is again from the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Earthy Paper Pad. The flower is a Sizzix die that cuts 3 sizes of a daisy flower.  I used 2 of the middle size on this.  I cut the paper and then distressed it with Ranger's Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I stamped the sentiment and used my circle Nesties die to cut it out and emboss it and then mounted it to the center of the flower.  The flower is mounted on dimensionals.  You can't tell by the photo but I used Copic glitter pens on all the centers of the flowers.  Its very subtle but very pretty.

Happy New Year!

I wish everyone a very Happy New Year and wishes for good health, prosperity and may all your dreams come true!  We didn't do anything last night except watch TV.  There was a Honeymooner's (Jackie Gleason and Audrey Meadows) marathon on and I watched it until 3 in the morning and am watching it now too.  That was such a great show and so funny! 

I made these cards a while ago using Portrait of a Snowman by Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper Designs.  I love seeing how different each one looks when different papers and embellshments are used.  Anna draws the sweetest snowmen.  I colored them with my Copic markers and mounted 2 of the images on Nestabilities scallops.
