Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has a very nice Thanksgiving!  We are going over to our DS and DDIL's house to enjoy our dinner and time together!  I am so thankful for them and their love. 

I was diagnosed with shingles on Monday, so they gave me a sweet nightgown and the cutest get well card.  The doctor put me on an antiviral and I haven't felt bad at all.  They drive me nuts at times itching, but I try not to scratch.  I only had one day where there was pain associated with them.

My card is a Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Cotton Scraps piece and is so cute with the turkey cooking!  The background paper and the gratitude oval are from Paper Trey Ink's First Fruits paper pad.  I sewed the cotton scrap on a piece of Paper Trey's new color cardstock called Ripe Avocado.  The ribbon is silk and from www.ReasonableRibbon.com. 

I love my little cloth pumpkin.  I got this year from Dawn Edmondson.  She made it out of canvas dropcloth fabric and hand dyed it with tea and cinammon.  She does such beautiful work on her projects.

This is also from the same sheet of Cotton Scraps that the above image came from.  I think this is so cute and is not a card.  I made it to go in a scrapbook with pictures from Thanksgivings past.  The background paper is also from Paper Trey Ink's First Fruits paper pad.  I sewed this to the ripe avocado and the ribbon is May Arts.

Anybody hitting the stores tomorrow?  Not me!  I did it one year with my DDIL and we had a blast but I'm not up to it any more...the lines are so much longer and the are people ruder!  She's going with her brother this year.

Your cards are just beautiful Viv!! I'm so sorry you've got the shingles! It's good you were able to get medicine and start taking it though ~ hope you're feeling good and it's not aggravating you much now.
