Biography

I was born and raised in Michigan and still live here. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Larry, for 38 years. We have one son, Mark, who has also caught the creativity bug. He is married to a wonderful gal, Elizabeth (she substitutes for the daughter I never had!) We have six-–yes--seven cats and they are just so much entertainment. We have Princess and Bear who are real life sisters, Misty, and our newest additions are Elmo, Eddie, Millie and Maggie. Mark and Elizabeth also have a variety of fur babies … a black lab named Molly and seven cats … Milky, Mooky, Milo, Miles, Missy, Melina, Murphy and Madison. Can you tell our family loves animals?!

My husband and I are both retired.

Creativity has always been a part of my life … my mother was very creative and artistic, and I remember her doing pen and ink drawings and water coloring, plus my brother is an architect. I loved drawing, coloring in books, and creating those wonderful woven hot pads on the little looms. I remember my mother and I making candles at Christmastime to give as gifts. Looking back, they were pretty darn nice for not having any of the gadgets that are out there now for candlemaking!

I have been fascinated in the rubber stamping world for quite a while. We used to have the nicest stamp store nearby, where I would drool over all the samples and buy several stamps, but it took quite a while before I inked any up. I stamped my DIL’s wedding shower invitations, but that didn’t quite turn me into the fanatic I am today. That happened when I went to a friend’s Stampin’ Up! Party in 2005 and fell in love with the products. I became a “hobby” demonstrator just so I could get the discount on all of my stamping related goodies. I have since dropped my demonstratorship.

I am a design team member for Crafty Secrets and just love the style of their stamps and other products.
